Six decades of mutual trust, strengthening approaches to global challenges.
Established in 1962, ECD is a non-profit tax-exempt organization that brings together diplomats, business executives, and policymakers to build lasting personal connections, learning from each other and from renowned expert guests in candid, off-the-record discussions.
In 1986, the U.S. Department of State requested ECD expand its role to include education and training for U.S. diplomats, through what is now known as the Lawrence S. Eagleburger Fellowship.
New generations of ECD participants, sponsors, and guests build on this legacy with a continuing commitment to mutual trust and understanding more necessary than ever in today’s challenging global environment.
